MY FATHER's BUSINESS

My Father's Business is a program that serves as a bridge between the Children's Ministry and the Youth's Ministry-with the goals of strenthening childrens who become of age and will soon leave the Children's Ministry to join the Youths Ministry.
The vision of the program is to keep childrens & youths engaged in their role in the Body of Christ- especially those between the ages of 9 year olds to 18 years old. Under the program are 2 projects: CLEAN UP CLEAN UP | JESUS' HANDS & FEET.
One aids children & youths to discover their roles and duties inside the church and the other helps them to discover their role and duties in their communities.
As the 1st President of MY FATHER'S BUSINESS
Bro. Abraham Perez has followed in his father's foot steps. Bro. Abraham AKA AB has watched his father cleaned and maintained the church for many years now and has joined his dad countless of time during rounds and inspection of the church building. Currently his dad overlooks the church's maintenance department.
Just like his dad- AB recruits kids his age to join the program then he assigns them to a group which rotates monthly. Teens/youths play an important role because they chaperone the kids in completing their assigned areas.
When Jesus was 12 years old- Mary & Joseph found him in the Temple. Jesus as a boy knew the importance of being about the businesses of God.
Luke 2:46-49
46 After three days they found him. Jesus was sitting in the Temple area with the religious teachers, listening and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and wise answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they wondered how this was possible. And his mother said, “Son, why did you do this to us? Your father and I were very worried about you. We have been looking for you.”
49 Jesus said to them, “Why did you have to look for me? You should have known that I must be where my Father’s work is.[d]” 50 But they did not understand the meaning of what he said to them.
